Friendsgiving Dressing
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and this year, I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to borrow amazing clothes for a fraction of the retail price! Not to mention, the passive income I’ve made while lending out my own rarely worn pieces… but enough about ME.
Before you spend Thanksgiving with your loved ones, and some potential stragglers your mom invited over (okay that was the last personal anecdote, I promise), you may be lucky enough to be invited to a Friendsgiving. A Friendsgiving dinner is basically the same as a Thanksgiving dinner, except you can dress a little hotter, and you don’t have to answer dreaded questions from your relatives like “Are you dating anyone?” or “How’s your job?” or “Zoe, did you drink that whole bottle of wine by yourself?”
If you’re wondering what to wear to your own Friendsgiving dinners, look no further, because I’ve styled some looks that are all available to rent on BARO. But wait, there's more! You can now borrow the full outfit at a discount with our BARO Bundles. So in girl math… that’s free! Okay enough chit-chat, let's get down to business!

Orange You Glad I Saved You the Last Piece of Pie?
This is my favorite sweater. Period. And you know what I am wearing with it? My favorite skirt. This stripped Everlane Superfuzz crewneck sweater from last season def stands the test of time. This Maryam Nassir Zadeh skort is the most versatile piece I own—you can dress it up, down, left, right—you get the point. Borrow the pieces individually or together as an outfit to really step up your clothing rental game.
Serena Van Der Woodsen WHO??!!
Serena Van Der Woodsen has been real quiet since I put this look together. This WE-AR4 asymmetric micro mini would absolutely have you sent to the headmistress's office at Constance Prep, but it’s perfect for a Friendsgiving jamboree. I paired it with the most perfect poplin button-down from Lou Lou studio to give it that sophisticated yet sexy schoolgirl-chic vibe. For the finishing touch, I added a thin black belt (Pro-tip, invest in a belt loop puncher) a sheer sock and heels combo. The fit is perfect, and time of of the essence, go ahead and borrow both pieces with BARO bundles.
"Did I Tell you About the Time I Studied Abroad?"
All right, last, but most definitely not least. This top was an amazing vintage find from my travels to ~The South of France~ this summer. The brand is unidentified, but what I can tell you is that the hand-sewn sequins have a blue iridescence that will no doubt be the talk of the soiree. And now that I think about it, I also purchased these wool wide-leg Acne Studio pants in ~Paris~. This whole outfit is basically equivalent to a semester abroad in France. Wear it, work it, and act like you're better than everyone because “traveling really changes who you are as a person.” Rent one or both pieces now on BARO!
