3 A/W24 Trends We Think Will Stand the Test of Time
February 28, 2024
As spring approaches and new runway trends inundate our social feeds, how do we know which trends are here for the long haul? I always recommend taking a beat and making sure that the trend in question resonates with your personal style, and if it does, consider repurposing something that already exists in your closet—or supplement the more on-trend, statement pieces through renting on BARO.
The truth is, while most trends are relatively fleeting, there are always a few from every runway season that stand the test of time. So buckle your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen, because I went ahead and styled three looks inspired by the A/W24 trends I believe will have longevity in our wardrobes.
This contorted pose is brought to you by this Frankies Bikinis Knit Skort (Available to rent on BARO) which is both soft and stretchy. Grey is an incredibly underrated color, but we’re now seeing a lot of outfits on the runaway from brands like Max Mara, Fendi, and Margiela playing with different shades of grey, creating an elevated version of what the cool kids call “groutfits.” The key to making a groutfit chic is to play with different shades of grey to create some interesting juxtaposition and add a dark accessory, like a black sock, to center the look and tie it all together.
3. A/W24 Trends We Think Will Stand the Test of Time
Red is really that girl. She has remained a staple on the runways the past two seasons and I can confidently say it’s here to stay. Full transparency, when I looked at these photos I wasn’t crazy about the medieval, vampy vibes it is giving off. That being said, I decided to own it. Not only is Twilight a cinematic masterpiece, but this silk Reformation skirt (Available to rent on BARO) is one of my closet staples and makes me feel more comfortable playing around with this red corset. will be available to rent on BARO soon.
2. Red!
This one may come as a bit of a surprise, but I do see this trend having longevity. We’ve seen a good amount of skirts over pants on the runway recently—Sandy Liang, Our Legacy, and Peter Do to name a few. I think it’s a really fun way to play around with shape and silhouette. Plus, we all have that one dress whose hemline is girl-bossing a bit too close to the sun, like this vintage Celine mini (Available to rent on BARO).
