STEP UP YOUR WFH STYLE BY RENTING YOUR CLOTHES
January 29, 2024
Who's still working from home? Me, that’s who. And likely plenty of you as well. While there are definite perks to working from home, such as going straight from bed to your 9 am meeting, I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss putting a stunning look together and going out in the world to show it off.
But just because you are in the sanctity of your own space does not mean it isn’t an opportunity to throw a fit together that is so effortless, comfortable, and professional, that you’ll leave your manager no choice but to promote you immediately
Working from home is a great way to play around with your style. Luckily, using BARO to rent your clothes makes it easy peasy lemon squeezy (I am sorry).
For example, I have always wanted to be the kind of girl who wears a dress over a pair of pants and is just like, “Hey, it’s me, that one girl you know who is just casually wearing a dress over pants, don’t worry about it, it’s chic.”
I am pretty sure I’m pulling the look off, thanks to this vintage Oscar De La Renta slip dress and this off-the-shoulder Lisa Yang cashmere sweater (both available to rent on BARO).
1. AM I PULLING THIS OFF? BE HONEST
Being in your own house means a whole bunch of hi-lo dressing. Perhaps to the point where you look a little weather-confused.
When it comes to virtual meetings, you could have hooves and no one on your team would notice, as long as you have a professional top and your apartment is somewhat tidy.
So it makes total sense to pair this YMC oversized sweater (available to rent on BARO) with a pair of jogging shorts, and if you still want to add a touch of corporate flair, throw on a loafer! That is if you don’t have hooves (if you do that’s cool too).
2. HI-LO DRESSING BACK IN ACTION
I know we’re still in the dead of winter, but that doesn’t mean you can't throw on a dress and take a cute little walk during your workday. Well, at least I can because I live in LA… But spring will be here soon enough, and so will this perfect Simon Miller midi (available to rent on BARO).
3. PUT A LIL SPRING IN YOUR STEP
The great thing about BARO is that not only can you rent designer dresses, but you can also rent outerwear and sweaters—all for a fraction of the retail cost! This oversized Fear of God trench (available to rent on BARO) is the perfect addition to yet another seasonally confusing outfit. Layered over a Lisa Yang cashmere cardigan (available to rent on BARO), it’s the perfect ensemble to hop from a Q4 performance review, to quickly taking out the trash.
